Cannot enter multiplayer due to locally modified assets
Posted by N3V Games (Paul) on 10 March 2016 04:13 PM

This error indicates that some assets in your database have been changed. This may be due to items you have downloaded and accidentally overwritten the "builtin" version. You may also get a "Revert failed > Abort Session Load" message as well.

To fix this error, follow these steps:

  1. Open Content Manager
  2. Create a set of filters for Installed = True; Builtin = True; Locally Modified = True
  3. Select all the items that are found
  4. Click Revert to original

This will put the "builtin" version back into the database and allow your multiplayer session to load.

You may also rarely encounter an installed asset that is Modified that supercedes a builtin item. In this case, you will need to disable or delete the newer item to allow the builtin asset to be loaded.
