Importing your own routes from older Trainz versions – the official process.

TRS19 and T:ANE have been designed to be backwards compatible with the majority of content from previous versions of Trainz so it is possible to import your content from TS12 (or previous versions) into your new version of Trainz It is important to know that both TRS19 and T:ANE require the original textures to show correctly in-game, and therefore built-in content, which does not contain source files, cannot be imported directly (or it will show with errors). We are currently in the process of uploading built-in content from previous versions of Trainz to the Download Station which will provide access to that content. Here is our recommended approach for importing a route and it’s dependencies from your older build:
Following this process, you do NOT need to run a database repair as T:ANE already knows about the assets when you imported them. (See this article about moving “packages” which DOES require a db rebuild) Also, do NOT attempt to bring your older build assets over into T:ANE by simply copying your Local folder (you can import the entire folder by dragging and dropping it onto Content Manager but using the steps above is more robust). Please note that the following items cannot be imported into T:ANE directly:
