Extended Database Repair
Posted by N3V Games (Paul) on 24 July 2015 11:39 AM

Sometimes your database may become corrupted and affects built-in or DLC content.

Generally, a standard Database Rebuild from Launcher > Developer > Rebuild Database will rectify the situation.

To run an Extended Database Repair:

  1. On the launcher, click on the 'developer' option at the top of the screen
  2. Hold down the CTRL key
  3. Left click on Rebuild database

Some versions of Trainz may not detect the CTRL key being held down. In this case you can manually start an extended database rebuild by following these steps:

  • Click on 'Trainz Settings' on the launcher screen
  • Go to the tab marked 'Dev' (not the one on the top menu)
  • Click on 'Enable Advanced Debug Tools'
  • Close all TRSxxx windows
  • Start TRSxxx.exe again
  • Click on 'Developer' at the top of the Launcher (not the one in Trainz Settings)
  • Click on 'Run TrainzUtil Command'
  • Type in 'repairdatabase extended' (without the quotes)
  • Click 'ok'

This will perform a full rebuild of the database repair and will force the DLC packages to be reinstalled fully (or other database corruption to be repaired).
